A new Altruria Elementary takes shape

Bartlett City Schools has broken ground on a new Altruria Elementary School, launching construction on a $37 million replacement campus at 6641 Deermont Drive. The new school will replace the existing Altruria Elementary, which opened in the mid-1970s and is now about 50 years old. Rather than renovate the existing building, the school district chose to construct a new facility on the same campus. The existing school will remain open while the new building is constructed, with demolition planned after the replacement school is ready for students. The district is targeting completion by the end of 2027. The project is part of Bartlett City Schools' ongoing investment in its facilities. The district currently operates 11 schools serving Bartlett students.
