Bartlett’s Coffee Scene Heats Up: New Shops Signal Growing Investment and Consumer Demand

Bartlett is experiencing a noticeable uptick in coffee-related investment, signaling both consumer demand and renewed commercial momentum along key corridors like Stage Road. The latest proposal comes from Dutch Bros Coffee, a fast-growing national chain planning a freestanding, drive-thru-only location at 6200 Stage Road in the revitalizing Raina Plaza. The project, set for review by the City of Bartlett Planning Commission on January 5, would add to a growing mix of food and retail uses at the center, which recently welcomed Al-Aqsa International Market and an upcoming Indian buffet.

The broader picture shows a diversifying coffee market across Bartlett. While one early-year opening has already closed, several new concepts are finding their footing. Pharmacy Coffeehouse, opened by the Side Porch Steakhouse owners in a former long-standing pharmacy building, focuses on craft coffee, seasonal menus, and community gathering rather than speed alone. Nearby, a new 7 Brew location opened this summer, reflecting continued demand for convenient, drive-thru options.

Further expanding the local mix, Baaloo Coffee Roasters is investing more than $500,000 into a full renovation of a freestanding building on Bartlett Road. The shop will anchor its brand in ethically sourced Ethiopian coffee and in-house roasting, reinforcing Bartlett’s growing appeal to both national chains and locally driven specialty businesses.

Together, these openings and proposals highlight a strengthening retail environment, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, and increased confidence from both local entrepreneurs and national brands in Bartlett’s economic future.
