Bartlett’s dining landscape is shifting, with a few recent closures making way for new restaurant investments. Baby Jack’s and Memphis Mojo Cafe both closed in July after more than a decade in business, but multiple new eateries are in the works.
Construction is underway for a new Chipotle at 6600 Stage Road in the Stage Centre, expected to open later this year, and Baaloo Coffee Roaster is transforming its Bartlett Road location into a high-end café focused on fresh, in-house roasted Ethiopian coffee.
The former Colton’s Steak House & Grill site on U.S. 64 is slated to become a 2,690-square-foot Panda Express, pending final city approvals. Developers plan to break ground in February and open by September.
City leaders welcome the reinvestment, noting that new businesses will help restore tax revenue and keep Bartlett’s commercial corridors active.
