Play It Again Sports Seeks Approval for New Bartlett Location

Play It Again Sports is pursuing a new retail location in Bartlett, with a special use permit request scheduled for review by the Bartlett Planning Commission on Jan. 5. Franchise owner Joseph Barton is seeking approval to operate a secondhand sporting goods store at 2849 Bartlett Blvd. in the Malco Plaza shopping center.

The Minneapolis-based retailer specializes in buying, selling, and trading new and gently used sporting goods and fitness equipment, offering a value-oriented option for a wide range of sports and athletic activities. With more than 280 locations across North America, the chain maintains a strong national footprint, including multiple stores in Tennessee.

If approved, the Bartlett store would add another retail tenant to Malco Plaza’s growing mix of restaurants, service providers, and specialty retailers, further strengthening the area as a neighborhood commercial destination.
