Quail Ridge Golf Course Renovation Brings New Investment to Bartlett

Bartlett’s Quail Ridge Golf Course is entering a new chapter as major renovations move forward, bringing renewed economic activity and recreational investment to one of the city’s long-standing community assets. Located at 4055 Altruria Road, the golf course closed in late 2024, creating uncertainty about its future before city leaders stepped in to support redevelopment and preserve the property as a public amenity rather than private residential development.

The first phase of improvements includes the reopening of the driving range, pro shop, banquet space, and a fully renovated clubhouse expected to feature a new restaurant and a 3,000-square-foot outdoor patio. The upgraded driving range will include Top Tracer technology, allowing players to track shots and analyze swings, adding a modern entertainment and training component that appeals to both serious golfers and casual visitors.

Mallard Pointe Golf, the management team selected by the City of Bartlett to operate the course, is overseeing approximately $1 million in first-year improvements. Investments include nearly $475,000 for green restoration, $225,000 for irrigation system upgrades, $100,000 for clubhouse renovations, and additional funding for bridge repairs and site improvements. The golf course itself is currently targeting a Labor Day reopening, while the driving range is expected to open much sooner.

The project represents more than a golf course renovation—it reflects strategic economic development and quality-of-life investment. After strong community opposition to plans for residential subdivision development, the city worked to preserve the course through a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreement, helping protect neighborhood character while supporting local recreation and tourism opportunities.

As Quail Ridge prepares to reopen, the revitalization highlights Bartlett’s commitment to reinvesting in legacy assets, strengthening community identity, and creating destinations that support both residents and long-term economic growth.
