Ramble on Summer Development Moves Closer to Construction in Bartlett

A new mixed-use destination planned for Bartlett is taking another step toward becoming a reality.

The Bartlett Planning Commission recently approved the construction plan, final plan and site plan for Area A of the Ramble on Summer development, allowing the project to continue through the city's development review process. The approvals follow the project's master plan approval in June and build on a special use permit approved in 2024.

Located on approximately 10 acres at 7157 Highway 70, the development is designed to blend dining, outdoor recreation and future residential living in a walkable setting. Plans call for the project to be completed in three phases.

The first phase includes a 6,250-square-foot restaurant, a 1,675-square-foot smokehouse and nearly 15,000 square feet of outdoor recreation and gathering space. A second phase will add a 4,800-square-foot bakery and retail building, while the third phase proposes 35 single-family homes.  

According to reporting by the Memphis Commercial Appeal, developers anticipate construction on the commercial portion of the project could begin later this year following final approvals. The vision is to create a destination where residents and visitors can enjoy dining, live entertainment, outdoor activities and future neighborhood living in one location.
